LexActo Attorneys has a debt collection practise through our legal counsels, who are well-versed in the law and debt collection strategies and typically handle the debt collection process. The initial collection stage is always handled out of court. We make every effort to collect in full in a friendly manner, or to obtain a written payment plan, formal acknowledgment of debt, or promissory note. A series of demand letters will support these efforts. If no recovery or formal settlement is reached during the first stage of collection, we will assess the viability of litigation and make recommendations for a court case. In-court collection is subject to different terms depending on the nature of the claim. Following evaluation, we will provide our legal opinion and recommendations.
