Efficient Debt Collection

The debt collection MCP server brings Debitura into your AI assistant - check cases, pull pricing, and submit new cases in plain language.

Why creditors connect Debitura to their AI assistant
Run collections in plain language
Connect your AI assistant to Debitura and check case status, read partner messages, pull payments, preview pricing, and submit new collection cases - all in plain language, without opening the web app or writing code.
14 tools, read and write
The server exposes 14 curated tools. Eleven read your data (cases, timelines, partner messages, payments, contracts, files, account summary, and pricing previews) and three make changes (submit a case, upload a document, send a partner message).
Safe by design
Submitting a case is a deliberate action: the assistant first previews the pricing and assigned partner, then asks for your explicit confirmation. Submission is idempotent, so a network retry can never create a duplicate case.
Your API key is the boundary
Authentication is a per-account Debitura API key sent in the XApiKey header. The server is stateless and stores nothing - your key and case data are never written to disk. The key scopes every request to exactly one account, and traffic is protected at the edge by a web application firewall and rate limiting.
Works with any MCP client
Connect Claude (web or desktop), Claude Code, Cursor, or VS Code Copilot to a single endpoint with your API key, then verify with "Ping Debitura". The public repository carries ready-made setup snippets for each client.
No Cure, No Pay across 183 countries
There are no setup, subscription, or platform fees - you only pay a success fee if we recover, starting at 6% depending on claim size. Each case is routed to a vetted local agency or law firm in the debtor's country, across 183 countries.

What Is the Model Context Protocol, and Why Connect It to Debitura?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that AI assistants such as Claude, Cursor, and VS Code Copilot use to connect to outside tools and data. Instead of switching to a separate app, you give your assistant a secure connection and it can act on your behalf.

The Debitura MCP server is a hosted connector that gives any MCP-compatible AI assistant direct access to your Debitura account through the Customer API. Once connected, you can manage your cross-border collection portfolio in plain language - checking case status, reading partner conversations, pulling payments, previewing pricing, and submitting new collection cases - without opening the web app or writing a line of code.

It is built for creditors who want to manage collections from an AI assistant, and for teams building agentic workflows that automate parts of the collections process.

How the Debitura MCP Server Works

Connecting takes a few minutes. Generate a Debitura API key at app.debitura.com/CreditorApiKey, then add Debitura as a custom MCP connector in your AI client using the endpoint https://mcp.debitura.com/mcp with your key in the XApiKey header. Verify the connection by asking your assistant to "Ping Debitura" - it replies with your company name when the link is live.

The server is a thin, stateless layer on top of Debitura's Customer API. Your API key is passed through on every request and is the boundary for everything the assistant can see or do - the server stores nothing and scopes each request to the single account that owns the key.

Key integration details

  • 14 tools: eleven read-only tools (cases, timeline, messages, payments, contracts, files, account summary, pricing preview) and three write tools (create case, upload file, send message).
  • Confirmed, idempotent case submission: the assistant previews pricing and the assigned partner and requires your explicit confirmation before creating a case; retries never create duplicates.
  • Attributed messages: messages to a collection partner are sent as a named member of your team.
  • Any MCP client: Claude (web, desktop, and Code), Cursor, and VS Code Copilot. Per-client setup snippets live in the public repository.
  • Test and production: a separate test endpoint is available alongside the production endpoint.
  • API-key authentication: managing divisions, webhooks, and quote workflows stays in the web app or Customer API; the MCP server focuses on the most useful actions for AI-assistant workflows.
