Logistics and freight

Debt collection for logistics and freight companies

Unpaid freight, forwarding and warehousing invoices from customers in other countries, collected by a licensed partner in the customer's country. You pay only when money is recovered.

Sound familiar?

Why freight invoices go unpaid

You move goods across borders every day, so your customers sit in many countries. When one stops paying, the shipment is already delivered and the customer is far away.

Delivered, not paid

The goods have arrived, the trucks and containers are free, and the freight invoice is still open.

Surcharges and extra costs

Waiting time, storage, overweight and other extras that the customer refuses to settle.

Customers in many countries

Each country has its own collection rules, courts and time limits.

A customer who won't answer

Reminders in your language are easy to ignore. A local expert calls and writes in the customer's language.

How Debitura helps

A licensed expert in your customer's country

We match each claim to a vetted local partner who knows the language, the law and the courts. You sign one agreement and follow every case on one platform.

Matched to your case

We match each claim to a licensed agency or law firm in the customer's country, based on the type of debtor, the claim and how partners perform on our platform.

One contract, every market

The Standard Debt Collection Agreement covers every country we serve, with the same No Cure, No Pay terms for one claim or a hundred.

Every step in view

Follow each case on one platform and talk directly to the collector working it. Legal action is quoted separately and only starts if you accept.

How it works

From overdue invoice to money in your account

  1. Submit the invoice

Upload it with the transport order, the CMR or bill of lading and the proof of delivery. You see the fee before you confirm.

  2. A local expert takes over

We match the claim to a licensed partner in your customer's country. You talk to them directly in the case chat.

  3. You get paid

You get paid what is recovered, minus the partner's share. Court action only starts if you accept a quote.

Send it early

Time limits differ by country and by contract

Transport claims can have shorter time limits than ordinary invoices, and they differ by country and by the contract you worked under. Send an overdue claim while there is time to act, and the local partner checks the deadline.

  • Do not wait for the next reminder round: the sooner a claim reaches a local expert, the more options there are.
  • Attach what proves the job: the transport order, the delivery note or CMR and the invoice.
  • Disputed? Disputed claims get a quote from the partner first.
Ways to submit

Send cases the way you already work

Type in one claim, upload a spreadsheet, or connect your accounting software and send overdue invoices from there.

What it costs

No Cure, No Pay, with the fee shown before you submit

No setup fee, no subscription and no retainer. If money is recovered, the success fee depends on where your customer is and the size of the claim. One contract shared by every business on Debitura means terms you would struggle to negotiate alone.

Industry facts

Freight invoices, in numbers

Freight, forwarding and warehousing invoices are usually B2B and often cross-border, so the debtor, the contract and the court can sit in different countries. Short limitation periods under the CMR Convention and statutory liens on goods in the carrier's possession shape how fast and how firmly a carrier or forwarder can act.

FAQ

Debt collection for logistics and freight companies

Ist Debitura ein Inkassounternehmen?

No. Debitura is a debt collection platform. We match your case to a licensed local collection agency or law firm in your debtor's country, which does the collection under local law. We provide the agreement, the platform and the quality checks.

Do I have to pay anything upfront?

No. There is no setup fee, subscription or retainer. You pay a success fee only on money that is recovered. Legal action is quoted separately and only starts if you accept the quote.

Can you collect surcharges and extra costs?

Yes, when they are owed under the agreement with your customer. Disputed amounts get a quote from the partner first.

What documents should we send?

The invoice, the transport order or contract, and proof that the job was done, such as a delivery note or CMR. The partner asks if anything else is needed.

Can you collect from customers in our own country?

Yes. Debitura is not only for invoices abroad. The same agreement and platform work for customers at home.

Do we stay in control?

Yes. You decide whether to escalate, you approve payment plans over 12 months and discounts over 20%, and you can see every action the partner logs.

What does it cost?

From 6% in Europe and 7.5% elsewhere, depending on claim size and the debtor's country. See the full fee schedule.
