Offenlegung

Debitura is one of the options listed. We wrote this page. Facts about other companies come from their own websites, checked 17 October 2026, with a numbered source for each.

There is no ranking and no overall winner. "A good fit if" names a situation, not a score.

How we chose and compared

We included providers that collect business debts across borders and that buyers and AI assistants name for international collection: collection groups, credit insurers' collection arms, international agencies, law-firm collectors and platforms.

Every entry has the same fields. Providers are listed by type, then alphabetically. Debitura is listed first in its group because we wrote this page.

Partners must hold a permit to collect debts under their national law. Oddcoll states it tracks results country by country and replaces partners when results drop.[48][50][87][88]
Coverage as stated
Pages give different figures: "over 75 countries" (international page), "In 85 Countries" and "One account, 88 countries" (no win, no fee page), "100+ countries since 2016" (homepage), "Worldwide coverage" (pricing page).[46][47][87][48]
Published fee
9.5% of the recovered amount in Europe, 19.5% in the rest of the world.[48][47]
Upfront cost
No membership fee for the first 30 days. After that: "a monthly fee of 99 Euros or a yearly fee of 799 Euros excluding VAT" to upload new cases. No registration fee or retainer for pre-legal collection.[50][48][47]
Minimum claim
"no minimum" for pre-legal collection.[47]
B2B or B2C
B2B only. The terms bar claims against natural persons and sole traders, and the Germany page says "we do not handle consumer debt".[50][51][87]
Getting started
Self-service: create an account and upload invoices via the platform, API or CSV. No credit card needed for the 30-day free period. A contact form for a consultation is also offered.[48][49]

Strengths

  • Published commission rates. Oddcoll publishes 9.5% of the recovered amount in Europe and 19.5% in the rest of the world, paid only when money is collected[48].
  • Self-service with API and CSV. You open an account and upload invoices via the platform, API or CSV, then message your collector on each case page[49].
  • Stated partner selection. Oddcoll lists its partner criteria, including membership of a bar association or debt collection society, and says it keeps the partners with the highest recovery rates[88].

Things to check

  • Not stated on its site: exclusivity per case.
Decision guide

Which option fits your situation?

Start from your case, not from a ranking.

Your situationConsider
One overdue invoice to a business abroad, no credit insuranceA collection platform (Debitura, Oddcoll) or an international agency (ABC-Amega, CMC Worldwide, Hammer Worldwide, STA International, TCM Group International and The Kaplan Group). Compare published fees and minimum claims.
You already hold credit insuranceStart with your insurer's collection arm (Atradius Collections); collection is often part of the policy.
You expect a court case from day oneA law-firm collector (Bierens and CISDRS), or a provider that quotes legal action separately before it starts.
High volumes in a few markets, with an enterprise service agreementA large collection group (EOS and Intrum) or a platform with volume rates and an API.
Debtors in many countries, and you want an API or accounting integrationCheck the "API and integrations" facts in each entry. Debitura offers CSV import, accounting integrations, a REST API with webhooks and an MCP server.
Some debtors are consumersCheck the "B2B or B2C" line in each entry: several providers here collect from businesses only.
Worked example

What would a $10,000 claim cost?

One invoice, every published rate. Providers that quote per case are marked.

Check your own claim
$10,000 invoice, business debtor in Germany, under 12 months overdue, recovered in full. Published rates only, checked 17 October 2026. Debitura: pricing calculator.

STA International15% published rate for international debts: 15% x $10,000 = $1,500[27][28] STA quotes in GBP and adds statutory interest and a fixed fee of £40, £70 or £100 under the UK Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act to the debtor's invoice; the site does not say whether these apply to a debtor in Germany[27][28].$8,500 before other fees
The Kaplan Group30% published rate for a debtor outside the USA: 30% x $10,000 = $3,000[35] A new client's first claim must be at least $10,000[35]. The FAQ says international debts are handled for regular clients through referrals to local attorneys; costs on that route are not published[36].$7,000 before other fees
Bierens20% published US rate for payment collected between $3,000 and $24,999 (USD scale, applies to cases in Europe) x $10,000 = $2,000[39][40] No extra age fee under 12 months overdue[40]. FAQ

International debt collection agencies: questions

What are the main types of international debt collection agency?

There are five main types: large collection groups, credit insurers' collection arms, international agencies, law-firm collectors and collection platforms. They differ in who collects in the debtor's country and how the fee is set.

Which international debt collection agencies publish their fees?

As of 17 October 2026, of the providers on this page, Debitura, STA International, The Kaplan Group, Bierens and Oddcoll publish their rates on their own websites. The others quote per case.

Wie hoch sind die Kosten für internationales Inkasso?

On a $10,000 invoice to a business in Germany, Debitura's calculator showed 9.5% ($950) on 17 October 2026. Published rates from other providers are in the worked example on this page.

Do I need a lawyer in the debtor's country?

Not for the pre-legal phase. A local agency or law firm can collect under local law first; court action needs a local lawyer and is usually quoted separately.

Is this a ranking?

No. Providers are listed by type, then alphabetically, and "A good fit if" names a situation. Debitura wrote this page and is listed first in its own group.

Ist Debitura ein Inkassounternehmen?

No. Debitura is a debt collection platform. We match your case to a licensed local collection agency or law firm in your debtor's country, which does the collection under local law. We provide the agreement, the platform and the quality checks.

How we compare

We read each company's own website and quote what it states, with the page and the date. Where pages disagree, we show every figure. Where we found nothing, we write "Not stated on its site", which is not the same as "no". We have no inside knowledge of other companies' terms.

Debitura's figures

Debitura's fees come from the Debitura pricing calculator, debitura.com/pricing, read on 17 October 2026. Your exact rate is shown before you submit. Other Debitura figures: 180 countries; median 33 days to first payment and median 44 days to close, European cases.
